Department of Applied Physics and Technics of the University of South Bohemia Czech Republic

The Department of Applied Physics and Technology deals in the long term with both theoretical and experimental studies of the interaction of plasma with surfaces of solid objects. The members are mainly focused on three different areas, namely electronics and electrotechnical systems, physics of plasmas and ionized media, and computer modeling that supports previous two fields of interest. The members of the department cooperate with many other workplaces in the Czech Republic and abroad and they participated on the range of projects, for example ROBO MD in program Innovation4Welfare.

Since its foundation, RERA has been systematically strengthening the position in the preparation and implementation of EU projects, becoming the center providing specialized services to local/regional government, non-profit organizations as well as the entrepreneurial sector. Experience gained enables a successful implementation  of international projects in the field of innovation, focused for instance on issues like services and products for elderly people, accessibility, mobility and smart homes or medical and home care systems.
