The main objective of the Wellbeing and Energy Efficiency in Living – Applying the demand and user-driven open innovation methodology for creating wellbeing and energy savings project (“HEA-project”) is to develop demand and user-driven solutions and services in order to promote elderly people’s wellbeing and energy efficient lifestyle.

One aim is to tap into the understanding of customer needs in the wellbeing field along with expertise related to the application of high technology.

The project develops new services and solutions that promote:

- wellbeing and functioning of the elderly

- cost and energy efficiency of living

- sustainable development

HEA-project is an umbrella for six subprojects which all include piloting of the developed solutions.

The project is coordinated by Metropolia University of applied sciences. The other partners are Aalto University’s CKIR unit, Green Net Finland, Arcada, Kymenlaakso, Laurea, Saimaa and Turku universities of applied sciences and Lappeenranta University of Technology.

Education, Environment and Territory EA+T (www.eatnea.org) is an Argentinian NGO for Development with ECOSOC Special Consultative Status - United Nations and accredited representatives in Vienna, Geneve and New York.

EA+T activities are based on projects relatedo to local and regional development, environmental protection, renewable energy, education and training, R&D, technological development, trainings (including e-learning) and to strengthen the institutional capacity of the public administration.

The EA+T also includes:

• UVT (Unidad de Vinculación Tecnológica) - Specialized Unit for the transfer of knowledge and technology, working for the pragmatic use of scientific potential in the business;
• ISET Institute of Regional Studies -  educational unit incorporated into the educational system of the Province of Formosa (Argentina)
• Vocational Training Centre "Descubre EA+T" - responsible for the formulation, implementation and evaluate aspects of vocational training programs
• Campus Virtual - e-learning virtual campus and international cooperation.

EA+T cooperates with institutions from the public, private, NGO and academic in Argentina, South and North America and Europe. It has representatives in Brazil, Costa Rica, United States, Poland and Switzerland.

The Department of Applied Physics and Technology deals in the long term with both theoretical and experimental studies of the interaction of plasma with surfaces of solid objects. The members are mainly focused on three different areas, namely electronics and electrotechnical systems, physics of plasmas and ionized media, and computer modeling that supports previous two fields of interest. The members of the department cooperate with many other workplaces in the Czech Republic and abroad and they participated on the range of projects, for example ROBO MD in program Innovation4Welfare.

Väinö Korpinen Ltd designs bathroom furniture and equipment for the elderly and physically impaired persons. Our Gaius bathroom solutions have been designed in cooperation with leading experts, healthcare professionals and end users based on years of research and testing.

Our products are marketed and sold through architects, construction firms and resellers to public facilities, assisted living units, hospitals, health centers, senior homes and private residences.

Everon develops and markets wireless solutions for health care and security markets. Everon Lyrais a totally wireless and on-the-go modifiable care home solution for nurse calls, personnel safety, exit and access control and other alerts. All functionalities use same radio infrastructure. All alerts are logged and alert delivery is verified by external system server.

Vega is the professional, waterproof GPS-watch with location server structure to monitor all functionality. Urgentys GPS-watch is designed for the lone workers protection.

Everon products are based on own patents and the company has customers in more than 10 countries.

I am looking for input to develop Everon Lyra system and Vega GPS to match the new needs of care home developers, users etc. I expect to meet the developers and users and to find out more about their plans, ongoing projects and to explain the innovative, adaptable and cost saving benefits of Everon solutions.
